Mahajaya Strengthens Teamwork with Effective Team Collaborators Programme
A dynamic two-day program strengthens teamwork, leadership, and communication among Mahajaya employees.
13 July 2024 – Pulau Carey: Mahajaya has successfully organised the Effective Team Collaborators team-building programme at the peaceful Amverton Cove Golf & Island Resort. Split into two batches, the first session took place from 29 February to 1 March 2024, involving 26 participants, while the second session was held on 11 and 12 July 2024.
The two-day, one-night programme was designed to help employees improve teamwork, leadership skills, and communication. It provided a much-needed break from the daily routine, allowing participants to work together in a fresh, engaging environment while aligning their efforts with Mahajaya’s core values.
Activities That Inspire Collaboration
The programme featured various interactive activities designed to encourage collaboration and develop leadership. One of the highlights was the Marshmallow Challenge, where participants learned the importance of planning and resource management while racing against time. Another favourite was Traffic Jam, which tested trust and decision-making in a group setting.
“Through these activities, our team had the chance to strengthen their problem-solving skills and learn how to work more effectively together,” said Emelia Chan, People and Strategic Manager at Mahajaya.
Other activities, such as Colour Blind and Karate Finger, emphasised effective communication, breaking barriers, and pushing participants beyond their comfort zones. Each task was followed by a debriefing session to reflect on key takeaways and apply lessons to real-world scenarios.
A Refreshing Approach to Growth
Set amidst the natural beauty of Amverton Cove, the programme allowed participants to recharge while fostering stronger connections with their colleagues. The combination of experiential and discovery-based learning ensured that the skills developed during the programme would translate into meaningful workplace improvements.
“Our goal was to create a space where employees could reconnect with each other and the company’s mission,” Emelia added. “It’s about more than just fun activities—building trust, encouraging teamwork, and preparing our team for future challenges.”
The Effective Team Collaborators programme reflects Mahajaya’s ongoing commitment to nurturing a supportive and high-performing workforce. For more updates on Mahajaya’s initiatives, follow us on social media or visit our website.
