Mahajaya Celebrates Chinese New Year with Cultural Extravaganza

Property Developer Melds Traditional Festivities with the newly launched The Courtyard @ Cheras

24 February 2024 – Kuala Lumpur: Amidst a spectacular display of crimson lanterns and blooming peonies, property developer Mahajaya transformed The Courtyard @ Cheras Sales Gallery into a festive wonderland yesterday, hosting a Chinese New Year celebration that harmoniously united cultural heritage with contemporary property showcasing.

The event also marks the soft launch of The Courtyard @ Cheras, as a line-up of interesting cultural and interactive activities has been planned during the event, including fabulous prizes and rewards for the visitors.

Cultural Celebrations

The day commenced at 9 am with guest registration, followed by a mesmerising GuZheng performance. Visitors savoured the traditional art of Tanghulu making whilst exploring the property showcase. The formal opening ceremony at 10.30 am featured distinguished guests sharing their vision for the forthcoming year, culminating in a spirited Lion Dance performance that captivated the crowd.

During the luncheon, a communal lou sang, or the prosperity toss session, was held as a signing-off gesture for the whole event, indicating the end of the grandeur event for the day.
